- <p> KNOCK, KNOCK. WHO'S THERE? Georgia State Senator Pierre
- Howard prides himself on taking his campaign for Lieutenant
- Governor right to the people. Driving himself around the
- state's southern region in a rented car last fall, Howard went
- door to door seeking support. But if his sense of politics is
- fine, his sense of direction was, well, a bit off. One voter
- liked the senator's pitch but told Howard not to count on him.
- Turns out Howard had unwittingly slipped across the border, and
- was asking for votes in Tallahassee. Said Howard: "This proves
- I'm willing to go to every corner of the state and beyond."
