  16. <p>     KNOCK, KNOCK. WHO'S THERE? Georgia State Senator Pierre
  17. Howard prides himself on taking his campaign for Lieutenant
  18. Governor right to the people. Driving himself around the
  19. state's southern region in a rented car last fall, Howard went
  20. door to door seeking support. But if his sense of politics is
  21. fine, his sense of direction was, well, a bit off. One voter
  22. liked the senator's pitch but told Howard not to count on him.
  23. Turns out Howard had unwittingly slipped across the border, and
  24. was asking for votes in Tallahassee. Said Howard: "This proves
  25. I'm willing to go to every corner of the state and beyond."
